The GRNbms VE-Direct extension makes it possible to use a Victron shunt is that is already in your setup. The following two shunts / current sensors are supported:
- Victron SmartShunt 500A/50mV
- Victron BMV-712 Smart
If you to not have or need a setup with any of these two shunts, then you do not need the VE-Direct extension and you can use the supported LEM CAB-500 current sensor.
